Lisa lives in the Portland area and has been involved with its Saturday Market area for 25 years. For C3, she organizes the international “Souk” fair at the Bend Summer Festival. Also adventuresome, she likes to sail, surf, and bike. If wind and speed are involved, Lisa Hammel is there.

Professional Experience: I've been working with C3 Events for the past 5 years. For the past 25 years, I have owned and operated my own import business in Portland.  I'm presently working on creating a nonprofit World Market in Portland, Oregon, which will focus on promoting cultural diversity through dance, music, story telling, food, arts and crafts.

Favorite Musician: John Mayer and Jack Johnson are my most recent favorites.

On the importance of building community through the arts and music: I believe our artists are our myth makers of today. The heartbeat of the now  that runs through all of us helping to tie us together. Coming together to celebrate the art and music helps build the foundation of a strong community.
