Bare Roots blends bluegrass, americana, and folk music in a unique, elemental, roots style all its’ own. Fresh and emotionally resonant fiddle and vocal harmonies bring new life to traditional styles and enhance the band’s original compositions. The band can jump into a fiery Celtic reel as well as settle down into the occasional tender waltz or ballad. They search for a different take on many of the songs they perform and put their signature on the arrangements. The Roots consist of Mark Barringer – guitar/vocals, Natalie Herse – mandolin/vocals, Michael Scott - bass fiddle/vocals, Gary Miller - banjo & dobro and Cat Finney and Amy Stinard - twin fiddles. Bare Roots brings a dynamic, fresh sound to business events, festivals, private parties, gallery openings, art events, non-profit events and fundraisers.
